बुद्धांचा धम्म कसा आहे?

      तथागत गौतम बुद्ध आपल्या पहिल्या प्रवचनात सांगतात:

• "माझ्या धम्मात मानवी जीवनाचा उद्देश आणि आशा या दोन्ही गोष्टी आहेत."
• "My Dhamma has in it both Hope and Purpose." - Tathagat Gautam Buddha

• तथागतांचा धम्म हा सदाचाराची शिकवण देणारा धम्म आहे,  आणि पृथ्वीवर सदाचरणाचे राज्य प्रस्थापित करणे हे त्याचे उद्दिष्ट आहे.

• His Doctrine is the doctrine of righteousness and his aim is to establish the kingdom of Righteousness on earth.

• बुद्धांचा धम्म म्हणजे सत्य, संपूर्ण सत्य, सत्याशिवाय दुसरे काहीही नसून ते केवळ सत्यच आहे.

• His doctrine is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth

• तथागत बुद्धांच्या सिद्धांतात अशी उत्कट प्रेरणा आहे की, जे परित्यक्त अथवा अनाथ आहेत त्यांना आपलेसे करण्याची उत्कट इच्छा निर्माण होते. जे अधःपतित आहेत त्यांना आपला उद्धार करून घेण्याची उदात्त प्रेरणा मिळते. आणि जे पददलित आहेत त्यांना प्रगतीपथावर नेणारा समतेचा प्रकाश त्यांच्या वाटा उजळून टाकतो.

• In his doctrine there is love to create a longing to own those who are disowned or unowned; to the degraded, there is the ennoblement ever present to raise them; to the disinherited and the downtrodden, there is equality blazing forth their path to advancement.
